BLAIR DUNLOP
At 21 years of age Blair Dunlop finds himself one of the hottest prospects in British Folk - taking over the leadership of the reactivated Albion Band from his father Ashley Hutchings and winning a Horizon Award for his solo work at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards. ‘Blight & Blossom’, his truly stunning debut album, will continue to delight us well into the future featuring Blair’s paradoxically light and raunchy way with vocal lines and his phenomenal guitar technique.
2013 has been a busy year for Blair with over 100 gigs being played as well as guesting on numerous Radio programmes, including the Mark Radcliffe Show, the session from this show being released to coincide with Blair’s appearance at the Cambridge Folk Festival this
year. The tour also introduces Blair’s new trio as his sound continues to develop.
His new album is already written and recorded and is due to be released in May 2014. This tour is
a celebration of the year and features songs from the successful debut album alongside new material from the forthcoming offer. Hear it here first!
