Friends of Greenhead Park History Hour - Four local suffragettes

An illustrated talk by David Cockman marking the centenary of the 1918 Act that gave the first voting rights to women. David will tell the story of four suffragettes from the Holme and Colne Valleys who took part in the struggle to achieve votes for women. History Hour sessions are held in the Greenhead Park Community Room (in the cafe building by the tennis courts) from 12.30pm to 1.30pm. Free – no need to book.
