Opportunity to gain an Arts Award with Fluid Motion

Are you aged between 11-25? If so Fluid Motion would love to hear from you. We are looking for two young people to shadow the Artistic Director on the tour of our Have a go at Shakespeare project starting in April 2012. This will be an excellent chance for young people to explore theatre and the arts in a professional environment, develop new skills as well as gaining a nationally recognized qualification.

Working alongside the Artistic Director as well as other staff and actors you will have the opportunity to shape the way the project is run from leading parts of our workshops and rehearsals through to creating publicity and marketing, audience development as well as lots more. You will be given the chance to work on any part of theatre making in which you have an interest. We are particularly interested in hearing from young people who have little or no knowledge of Shakespeare in performance.

We are offering young people the chance to gain either a Bronze or Silver award with us. You will have to put together a portfolio of your time spent on the project. The portfolio can be in whatever format you choose (online, written, piece of artwork) and there is no time limit for completing the portfolio. The Artistic Director will act as your mentor throughout the whole project and you will regularly meet up with him to discuss how things are going and he will guide you through what is required in order to complete the award.
