Erica Sturla Original Art in Polymer Clay by Erica Sturla

Trained in Fashion illustration and journalism, Erica’s working background is graphic design and illustration. With a strong emphasis on colour, she now works with two very different techniques:
Cut paper collage which involves piecing together scenes with shapes cut from a set palette of coloured paper.
Polymer clay and acrylics to create scenes with three-dimensional and quirky characters set against painted canvas backgrounds.

Originally from Kingston-upon-Thames, Erica moved with her husband and young family to the seaside town of Worthing in Sussex in 2002. She now undertakes commissions and exhibits her work in galleries across the UK. Her collaged illustrations appear on posters to promote Sussex towns for the Tourist Information Centre.
She currently designs two ranges of greetings cards featuring her humorous clay figures which are sold throughout the UK and overseas.
