Volunteer required

Encounters Arts are looking for volunteers to help us deliver a series of public events as part of our Connect & Inspire programme in Torbay and South Hams.

Throughout 2015 Encounters Arts have been inviting residents of all ages from South Devon and Torbay to come together in many different ways to make connections, create together, share stories, explore commonalities and celebrate differences. This autumn we will share these stories with a wider audience and we are looking for volunteers to help us make these events a great success.

Grandmothers is a unique performance event created by a troupe of grandmothers drawn from Totnes, Dartmouth and Paignton, and sharing their perspectives on youth & age, fight & defeat, freedom & responsibility, sickness & health, past & future.

We are looking for a team of volunteers for backstage and stewarding support on the following dates:
Grandmothers performance Paignton 22 Oct
Grandmothers performance Totnes 23 Oct
Grandmothers performance Dartmouth 27 Oct

Museum of Now is a collaboration with residents of Torquay and Torquay Museum. People have been working with us to create objects that reflect what is important to them today which will be displayed at Torquay Museum. We are looking for volunteers to support with set up and hosting at the launch event on Tue 3 Nov at Torquay Museum.
