Luton Peninsula Fair
Free family fun at the first ever
South Devon AONB, Encounters Arts and partners invite you to the first ever Peninsula Fair at Lupton House!
Come and celebrate the unique Brixham and Kingswear Peninsula and all it has to offer. There will be local food grown and cooked by local people available to sample throughout the day as well as creative activities and workshops. Stories, drawings, and observations from all of the Encounters Arts Routeways and Connections events will be on display.
This is a Free Event please drop in. Some things will be going on all day, whilst some will happen at specified times. Please use this programme to help you plan your visit. A short film documenting the free-running journeys of young people exploring the coast and woodlands around Brixham, as part of the Routeways project.

The Dart - a journey in pictures - Cole Room 3 – 5pm & 6 – 8pm
Take some time out to travel the Dart from the moor to the sea. Old images and new photos intermingle documenting the river and its history.

Children from Kingswear primary school will be sharing what they have learned about the watery side of the Peninsula as part of a Catchment Connections project

Join us to make music from water! Hugh Nankivell, working for the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, will be conducting us to compose a new masterpiece.

Stories and poems from the Dart - The Cole room 7pm
Sara Hurley will be sharing folklore, stories and poems inspired by the Dart, source to sea.

Join Nigel woods for a short exploration of the woods and gardens to hunt for beasties and wildlife which make their home here! (about an hour)

Join experts from Devon Greater Horseshoe Bat project and discover more about the bats which share this peninsula with us!

Food and Drink!
Lupton Cafe - 12noon – 5pm
The Lupton Trust cafe will be open in the house and the stables throughout the day, serving hot and cold food, drinks and cakes.
Fresh bread and pizza - 5pm – 7pm
The Brixham Baker Boys will be producing fresh pizzas and breads for sale (to raise funds for Indigos Playground) under the guidance of David Jones of Manna from Devon.

Getting to Lupton
Lupton is 1 mile from Brixham on the A3022 (the main road into Brixham), 6 miles from Paignton and 9 miles from Torquay on the B3199. If approaching from outside Torquay take the A380 at Newton Abbot which joins the A3022 at Paignton.
Lupton is situated on the right hand side, look out for the wooden bus shelter and two white gatehouses at the entrance to the drive.
Bus –12 and 12a - regular buses between Paignton and Brixham, stopping direfctly outside Lupton House entrance
Cycle – bikes can be chained up near to the hosue
Walk – about 30 mins from Brixhamar – parking available – please follow signs from driveway.
