Charity Concert - Alex Ainley & The Nightingale Jazz Quartet
Alex Ainley & The Nightingale Jazz Quartet are hosting a great mix of classical piano, jazz quartet arrangements and stand up humour, to fundraise for Elizabeth's Legacy of Hope - all proceeds will go to the charity. Suitable for the whole family.
Doors 7pm. concert starts at 7.30pm.
Last year this event was very popular and raised funds to support ELoH's vital work, providing prosthetics and education to vulnerable child amputees in Sierra Leone, Liberia, and India.
The band has some amazing arrangements this year: the famous jazz trumpeter Clifford Brown' s arrangements of Embraceable You and also Stardust, Harry James's arrangement of the famous tango Jalousie, some lovely numbers from My Fair Lady, the classic Sammy Davis number What Kind of Fool Am I, and the Billy Taylor hit I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel To Be Free, the Film 94 theme tune.
