Going to Charlie's House is a 45 minute performance of a new work celebrating, unpacking and revisiting the provocations and interactions of under fives with older residents in three Torbay care homes.
Featuring filmed footage, new songs, skinship, pre and post-verbal worlds, and (quite possibly) bridges made from vegetables!
Performed by Emma Welton, Steve Sowden, Jade Campbell and Hugh Nankivell
Throughout the summer of 2017, Doorstep Arts has been leading in Torbay on a project funded by the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and Awards for All. Making Bridges with Music is an innovative pilot which brings early years children and childminders into residential care homes for older people. Supported by artists, the participants have been making music together.
