Terence Bennett Exhibition - A Retrospective
27/04/2019 - 30/06/2019
The large-scale exhibition brings together paintings and drawings produced over a 60 year period, from student works created at Doncaster School of Art in the 1950s, to a series of glowing watercolours fresh off the easel.
Terence was born in Doncaster in 1935, the son of a painter and decorator. He knew from an early age that he wanted to paint, and in 1951, at the age of 15, he enrolled at the Doncaster School of Arts and Crafts, where he was taught by T.A Anderson, Eric Platt and Jack Camm.
Throughout his life Terence has continued to paint, and he has been recognised by inclusion in the prestigious Royal Academy Summer exhibition in London for a number of years, as well as holding many solo exhibitions in London and across the country. Please note the Art Gallery is not currently accessible to those with mobility issues.
