Actors needed for short film project

I'm a filmmaker based in Crediton, Devon and am currently producing a short film called 'Fort Box'.

‘10-year-old James enjoys creating cardboard models with his Mum, things such as cars and rocketships. Mum has designs for their most ambitious project yet, a cardboard box fort made from thousands of boxes. When she falls ill it is left to James, Dad and the local community to organize and construct the fort…’

We're actually building the fort for real in a park in Crediton on August 6th and it's an event members of the public will be welcome to!

I'm in the process of casting the film and am looking for people to play the following roles:

JAMES (aged 9-11)
The main character. A very determined young person, I'm looking for someone with a certain childhood innocence about them. Think of Elliot in ET and you're along the right lines.

DAD (aged 30-40)
A character who starts off strong but as his wife's illness takes it's toll he struggles to cope and his relationship with his son becomes strained. For the right actor I think there's a lot to play about with in this role and portray a character who changes a fair amount over the film.

MUM (aged 30-40)
A character who maintains a childlike sense of fun. This is a supporting role but one which I feel has a lot to it. There's the opportunity to play someone throughout different stages of an illness and in some very emotional scenes.

It's an ambitious project so requires commitment over a number of days, filming will take place between late July and Mid August.
