Culture Education Network

This event is for anyone who is passionate about young people experiencing great arts and culture. As a catalyst for confidence and personal development, access to our creative offer and engagement here in Doncaster is paramount.

The DCEP is hosting the Culture Education Network on Tuesday 11 June 2019 at Cast. Join us at this event for the opportunity to network with like minded people, make connections and identify new ways of collaborating to connect Doncaster’s young people with fantastic creative experiences.

The New Doncaster Creates project will be talking about their plans to deliver a diverse creative programme in 2020, that will bring world class arts to Doncaster and celebrate local talent. Come and join the discussion about how we can work together to ensure children and young people can help shape and take part in the programme.

The event will open at 3:30pm for a 4pm start and finish at 6pm with additional time for networking until 7pm.

Who should come?
Head teachers, teachers/educators from early, primary, secondary and college years, artists and creative practitioners that work with or want to working with young people, education or culture staff from the council (at all levels), and cultural venues.

If you work within a school or youth organisation, please do feel free to bring 1 or 2 young people with you who would like to be part of the conversation and hear for themselves about exciting new projects as well as established creative opportunities.

Who is the DCEP?
The Culture Education Network is organised by Doncaster Cultural Education Partnership (DCEP) which is a collective of cultural organisations and individuals, educational institutions and local authority representatives. The DCEP work together to drive a joined-up local arts and cultural offer for children and young people across the borough both inside and outside of school.
