Get on your bike & perform in the Tour De Yorkshire
Don’t just watch the Tour De Yorkshire, be part of it too. We are looking for 13 people who are up for a laugh, relish in the ridiculous and can ride a bike for a special performance, as crowds gather to welcome the tour to Birstall.
Strictly Cycling is a improvisational ‘cycle-about’ & clowning street show, which plays with the everyday events and experiences of riding a bike. The show is improvised around a series of choreographed sections with & without bikes.
Bring your bike to create and learn a few basic moves, work as part of the team and be part of a most unusual flashmob ahead of the race. Families and groups of friends are welcome.
The workshops and performances will all take place on Sunday 30 April 2017.
Workshop: 10am – Midday
Performance 1: Midday
Performance 2: 2.45pm approx
Venue: Birstall Community Centre
Age: 13+
To register your interest, email vicky@creativescene.org.uk by Friday 21 April 2017
You will need to bring a bike & wear black or dark trousers, shoes & tops, to go underneath Strictly Cycling costumes.
