Proposals for Participatory Arts Project, Falmouth and Exeter Pl
Call for Artist Proposals:
Participatory Arts Project at Penryn Campus ‘Garden Fete’ 6th May 2017
Brief:
Falmouth and Exeter Universities would like to invite artists to make a proposal for a participatory arts project on the Penryn Campus. The work would be a sculptural structure or installation. This structure/installation can be created before or after the Garden Fete day, but must give the opportunity for members of the community to participate in its construction, in some way, during the day. The structure/installation will be a lasting memory of collaboration between members of the community and artist. With the theme of sustainability for the Garden Fete, proposals which are sensitive to the site will be welcomed and prioritised.
An area for the siting of the installation has been designated by the grounds team; below Tremough House and Lawns, in grassed and wooded areas to the right of the Elm Drive towards AMATA.
Claire English will be selecting the artists project with members of University Staff and working as a liaison and to support the chosen project.
Budget:
£700 fee
£700 materials
This can be flexible in terms of time versus materials.
