PR Officer, Theatre Royal Plymouth

Salary: £18,000 pro rata

Permanent: Part-time (20 hours)

The Theatre Royal Plymouth is the largest and best attended regional producing theatre in the UK and the leading promoter of theatre in the South West. The Theatre offers a comprehensive range of entertainment throughout the year including musicals, plays, opera, ballet, contemporary dance, and modern play writing.

We are looking for a PR professional to join our highly focused PR team where they will play a crucial role in raising the profile of Theatre Royal Plymouth to a range of audiences by assisting in the delivery of Theatre Royal Plymouth’s Audience Engagement Strategy.

The successful applicant will be an excellent communicator with exceptional verbal, presentational and advocacy skills. Substantial and demonstrable experience of writing effective, engaging copy for a range of audiences is a must as are proven skills in editing, proof reading and excellent attention to detail.

This is a new role specifically created to support the Head of PR in rolling out the Stakeholder’s Communication Strategy for the organisation and to create and implement media communications strategies for a wide variety of projects.

We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic individual, able to manage their own workload as well as being a strong team player. This is an exciting opportunity for a communications specialist to play a key role in advocating on behalf of a nationally recognised arts organisation.
