Festival Engagement Coordinator, Bristol Biennial
Bristol Biennial is led by artists. Every two years, we create a gigantic artwork: a festival curated by open call, celebrating emerging talent that crosses the city of Bristol.
Born in 2012, Bristol Biennial is currently led by Hannah Clark, Eva Martino and Rowan Lear. We believe in collaboration, communication and exchange: across artistic disciplines; over real and imagined borders; and between audiences and artists. We aim to work according to six core values: Hopeful, Relevant, International, Artist Led, Nurturing, Accessible and Sustainable.
Our third festival, Bristol Biennial 2016: In Other Worlds takes place from 2-10 September 2016. From a party set in the future to performances for pets to a breath of another time, Bristol Biennial 2016 will present new artist commissions and a series of associated events and projects. Through conversation, encounters and exploration in unusual locations across the city, Bristol Biennial will stimulate the senses, inspire new ideas and uncover whole new worlds.
We are looking for a Festival Engagement Coordinator to join our small but strong team and support the festival in one of our most crucial roles. Using online and offline methods, our Festival Engagement oordinator will help to ensure that our artworks, events and projects are as visible, engaging and accessible to as many people as possible.
This is a valuable opportunity for an emerging arts producer to gain experience, grow skills, and help to shape an emerging and ambitious international festival of art.
