ARTISTIC PROGRAMMING TRAINEE, TAUNTON
THE BREWHOUSE THEATRE AND ARTS CENTRE

One Year Full-time contract: 35 hours per week
Salary £14,000 p.a. pro rata
Fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated and resourceful graduate to gain experience working in a busy, multi-genre arts venue in the centre of Taunton, Somerset. The post-holder will work closely with the artistic team consisting of the Chief Executive, Artistic Programmer and Learning and Participation Manger, to help administer, co-ordinate and deliver the venue’s artistic programme. The Artist Programme Trainee will report directly to the Artistic Programmer.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for working in arts and culture and have excellent customer service skills. A high level of literacy and articulation will be matched with excellent communication skills as well as skills in IT - using spreadsheets, word processing and databases. This post is for a well-organised individual capable of prioritising and juggling a varied workload. A can-do attitude, delight in working well as part of a team and under pressure are also key attributes.
