Yorkshire Sculpture International Open Call - Associate Artists
Artists based in Yorkshire who specialise in sculpture and would like to develop their practice through working in partnership with us are invited to apply to be part of our Associate Artist Programme. We are looking for artists at any stage of their career who are ambitious and looking to make the next step to
develop their practice.
We will support five artists and invest in their practice over a nine-month period from January until September 2019. Each artist will receive a grant of £7,500 towards the creation of new work and be paired with a mentor from one of the Yorkshire Sculpture International organisations. There will be a programme
of talks, crits and research trips for the cohort of five Associate Artists, creating both a peer support group and an opportunity to learn from and connect with arts professionals from across the UK.
Please note that the artists will be responsible for managing their own research and production time. There is no fixed space or studio provision included in this programme. The artists will be selected by a panel including the artist Anthea Hamilton, Andrew Bonacina (The Hepworth Wakefield), Sarah Brown (Leeds Art Gallery), Sarah Coulson (Yorkshire Sculpture Park), Laurence
Sillars (Henry Moore Institute), Jane Bhoyroo and Meghan Goodeve (Yorkshire Sculpture International).
To apply please send the information below to jane.bhoyroo@yorkshire-sculpture.org:
