Take it Away Scheme expands to include all ages

The ACE backed Take it Away Scheme, which offers interest-free loans for the purchase of musical instruments, will now support musicians of all ages. The initiative has helped 88,000 customers buy instruments since it launched in 2007, with loans totalling £61m. Previously for under-25s, it now offers interest-free finance to all customers who visit its network of member music retailers, bringing the scheme in line with its Northern Irish equivalent.

To support the growing number of musicians using digital equipment, Take it Away can now be used to purchase any item or items from a participating music retailer. Previously, the scheme was limited to traditional instruments, such as strings, guitars, brass, and woodwind.

Retailers now have the option to offer interest-free finance up to £25,000, greatly surpassing the previous £5,000 limit. This gives aspiring instrumentalists the chance to purchase higher priced instruments. Read more the website below.
