Relationship Manager, Theatre (ND3), Arts Council England

Contract: Fixed term, up to 12 months (maternity cover), working 35 hours per week (ideal start date, June 2022)

ACE are looking for a full-time theatre Relationship Manager to join the Arts Council’s North area team. This is a 12-month fixed term contract (maternity cover) based in the Leeds office.

It’s an exciting time to join the Arts Council as their major grant programme, the National Portfolio, is open for applications. WThey have relaunched National Lottery Project Grants and have recently announced a number of Priority Places for development. As part of the North area team, you will work across the North, but with your focus on Yorkshire. You’ll also be part of the national theatre team

They are looking for someone with good knowledge of theatre in the North, particularly in Yorkshire. You’ll be able to advise and support organisations and individuals and will feel passionate about widening engagement in culture. You’ll have a depth of understanding of theatre practice, of equality, diversity and inclusion agendas and their relationship to culture. You will be responsible for giving funding advice, assessing grant applications, understanding project information and monitoring performance. This includes assessing financial information, identifying risk and providing feedback on business and artistic plans. Relationship Managers are also expected to work outside their specialism on a range of Arts Council initiatives. We have excellent training and development resources available to support you within the role.
