Project Producer - Cast - Doncaster
Cast and the National Theatre’s Public Acts are producing an exciting, pop-up theatre project in Doncaster. The writer, director and creative team will develop a new story for Doncaster, to be brought to life by a company of citizen performers. This new production will be performed as part of celebratory evenings alongside performances by local artists. The event will take place outside, and invite Doncaster residents to gather, play, contribute and enjoy.
This project is the next phrase of Public Acts’ work with Cast, following 2 years of partnership working with community organisations in the area. Building on an extensive programme of workshops in community locations, the production of a short film and a podcast series, this outdoor show will provide new opportunities for our company of citizen performers and a chance to connect with Doncaster audiences.
As the Project Producer, you will be responsible for the delivery of a new, Public Acts community performance project managing a small-scale outdoor show in August 2021. The Project Producer will lead the delivery of this project, working alongside the Cast and National Theatre’s Public Acts team. They will collaborate with professional creatives to produce the new outdoor production as well as the programme of workshops and rehearsals for the community cast.
