Part-time Creative Support Workers - Leeds Playhouse

Leeds Playhouse are recruiting for four compassionate and supportive people to join their Creative Engagement team. The roles are as Creative Support Workers across a diverse range of our activity. These are:

· Youth Theatre – weekly sessions for young people aged 5 – 25

· Breeze Arts Foundation – alternative education for people aged 16 – 19

· Buzz – young people with learning disabilities

· Creative Communities – supporting older people in Heydays, people living with dementia in Our Time and female refugees in our choir, Asmarina Voices

You will be responsible for supporting participants to experience creative opportunities and holistic person-centred support, using creative arts as a tool to express, develop skills and support positive wellbeing. You will be working in collaboration with artists, youth, community and care workers and partnership organisations. Their Creative Support Workers will help ensure our participants can access the support they need whilst taking part in fun and creative activities that will give them a platform to express themselves.

The Creative Support Worker roles are contracted for 18 hours per week. All posts are fixed term (35 weeks) until August 2022.

Pay: £5,985 for the contract. This is equivalent to £9.50 per hour or £171 per week.
