Of Feathered Friends- full performance
7.30pm on Saturday 22 June at the New Picture House, Dewsbury.
A performance of poetry and music about birds with PLant-Life-Cycle artist in residence poet, Adam Strickson, and fine folk musicians Steve Harrison and Annie Dearman.
As part of the Yorkshire Festival, Adam has been making bird sculptures and writing bird poems inspired by Dewsbury Country Park.So come and hear what he has to say about the Spen Heron, pale-green footed little hens, chiffchaffs and a teacup ride of reed buntings!
There will also be finely sung bird ballads and rollicking, twittering tunes from inimitable and nationally renowned folk musicians, Steve Harrison and Annie Dearman.
Free colour poem-posters will be available, featuring the artworks Adam has made in the country park.
So come along and let yourself fly away on wings of songs and words.
