Marketing & Communications Officer - The Art House, Wakefield

Marketing for The Art House (online and offline, the whole marketing mix) encompasses everything from 1-2-1 networking and audience development to revenue generation and customer retention. There’s no putting “digital” or “sales” into silos here, they take an end to end approach which means the marketing team’s work is fully integrated into everything they do: from concept to completion. Thanks to a period of growth, The Art House is on the hunt for a talented marketer to join the team as Marketing & Communications Officer to help them promote, celebrate and sell the work they do there.

A passion for the visual arts is essential and you will know why creativity matters in a diverse world. Your approach to great marketing will be person-centred, honest and relatable. You will also know that at the heart of the most fun, creative and inspirational marketing campaigns are rock-solid strategies and data-driven decisions.

You’ll be joining a vibrant team where marketing isn’t just left up to the marketing team. So whilst you’ll be working closely with your marketing colleagues and reporting to the Marketing & Communications Director, you will also be collaborating with people across the organisation (as well as external partners and artists) to design and deliver fully integrated experiences.

They’re looking to appoint someone on a full-time, permanent basis, who could ideally start immediately. This role offers, and requires, flexibility but total remote working is not suitable due to the nature of their work. Oh, and they hope you like (or at least will tolerate) dogs, because they take theirs to the office.

Reporting to: Marketing & Communications Director
Responsible for: External Marketing Contractors, Volunteers
Salary: £21,500 – £23,000 (Depending on experience)
Working Hours: 5 Days per week (37.5 hours per week)
Holiday: 25 Days per annum plus Bank Holidays
Location: The Art House, Drury Lane, Wakefield, WF1 2TE
