Kirklees Creative Partners 2016-17
The Kirklees Creative Economy Team are pleased to announce that just over £396,500 has been awarded to ten arts and creative organisations through the Council's Creative Partners Investment Programme in 2016/17 which will be the final year of the programme. The allocations were approved by Councillor Graham Turner, Portfolio Holder for Resources and Community Safety and Ruth Redfern, Director of Communities, Transformation and Change.
The aim of the programme is to select a number of arts and creative organisations to work in partnership with the Council to provide arts and creative services, events and activities for local communities throughout Kirklees.
In addition to the funding, Creative Partner organisations are also given support from a lead officer in the Creative Economy Team, organisational development advice, business support and access to relevant information, the marketing & promotion of their organisation to key stakeholders, partners and existing and potential users free of charge and joint audience development initiatives with the Council when appropriate.
