If you want the relevant local councillor to know about your work it’s worth knowing who your local councillor is and who holds the portfolio for the Arts. You can then get in touch with the right Councillor about arts related issues or invite them to your events. It’s also a good way to let them know about your work.
The portfolios for Kirklees Council’s Cabinet Members has been decided and will be published on the council’s website shortly, so you will be able to see if there are other Cabinet Members you want to inform about your work. If you are working in a particular area, it is always good to inform the ward members in that area.
