Growing Great Places - community crowdfunding in Kirklees

Growing Great Places is a community crowdfunding programme funded by Kirklees Council.

Kirklees Council have partnered with crowdfunding platform Spacehive on this exciting initiative. As part of the programme they’re providing extra support to residents and groups who have ideas to share. There will be a fund of £50,000 available, with projects potentially getting pledges of up to £5,000 to support their campaign, plus workshops to help you pitch your idea.

People make places great: the towns, villages and communities are the strength of Kirklees. You might have a small idea that can have a big impact by bringing a place together. Or you might need some help growing support for an ambitious project that’s just getting started

Growing Great Places is all about bringing people and places together. It’s part of the work to grow a stronger local democracy here in Kirklees, from the ground up.

The deadline for the next funding round is Tuesday 24 March 2020.
