Get in the mood with Christmas Concerts

LUNCHTIME AND EVENING CONCERTS

Christmas is almost upon us once again... so here are a few concerts to get you in the mood and fill you with festive cheer!

Come along to the beautiful town halls of Huddersfield and Dewsbury to enjoy a fantastic variety of world class music right here on your doorstep. During December, there are concerts by the ever popular University of Huddersfield Brass Band with their annual Christmas Concerts, the Orchestra of Opera North with their Joyous Christmas and Viennese Whirl concerts, a concert by Nigel Ogden, the BBC Radio 2 presenter of The Organist Entertains and, of course, a Christmas concert by our very own Borough Organist, Gordon Stewart, who will be joined by the Huddersfield Boys’ and Girls’ Choirs and young percussionist Adam Finchett. Something for everyone!

At the lunchtime concerts, reasonably priced pre-concert lunches are available from 11.30am, it’s the perfect opportunity to take a break from the Christmas shopping, have a bite to eat and a natter with fellow concert-goers before sitting back, relaxing and enjoying the wonderful music programmes on offer.
