Fuse Theatre Practitioner, Connecting Youth Culture

Fuse Theatre is an inclusive youth theatre project bringing together young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) with Non SEND young people. Delivered by Connecting Youth Culture, part of North Yorkshire County Council.

The project is delivered across North Yorkshire in 7 different locations, young people meet weekly during school term time participating in 30 sessions a year and two performance events. We provide a high quality, inclusive project in safe environments delivered by professional theatre practitioners and supported by prevention workers and specialist access workers.

The performance events bring together all 7 groups from across North Yorkshire, during these event the young people have the chance to meet, socialise, rehearse, participate in other workshops with the day culminating in a showcase of all of the 7 performances. The performances are normally held in York in professional venues.

Fuse Theatre are currently looking for two experienced and passionate Freelance Theatre Practitioners.

1 x working with our group based in Bedale who meet Fridays from 3.45pm – 5.30pm.

1 x working with our group based in Tadcaster who meet Thursday 6.15pm – 8.00pm.

Candidates will start in mid-September.

Stage 1 Interviews will be held in Bedale on August 24th (Morning).

Stage 2 Practical Interviews will be held in Bedale on August 24th (Afternoon)
