Freelance Production Manager, Transform (Leeds)

Transform is seeking a Production Manager to join the team, with a specific focus on delivery of technical and production elements for Transform projects and festivals. In the short-term, we are specifically seeking support with scoping, planning and preparation for our next programme and immediate project delivery this Autumn. However, our ambition is to seed a longer-term collaboration, with the potential of extension to oversee the delivery of our Spring 22 programme and development of our next large-scale festival Transform 23.

This is a practical and technical role of high-level responsibility, suitable for someone with a proven track record of managing the development and delivery of performance of all shapes and sizes, and overseeing the technical realisation of major festivals.

The role is suitable for an experienced Production Manager with an interest in delivering performance, cultural events and festivals. You will be experienced in strategic planning of projects from a production perspective, supporting processes from seed ideas to fully realised and operational performance events. You will be comfortable working in a variety of contexts – be that high-spec theatres or empty car parks, and be able to work confidently with artists and creatives from all backgrounds and experience levels to successfully support creative processes from a technical perspective. You will be personable, collaborative and ready to reach out to and actively support companies from across the region and the globe – maintaining a robust balance of attention to detail alongside effective oversight.

Key Details
- Freelance contract between September-December 2021
- Fixed Fee of £4000 (based on circa 20 days’ work)
- Potential of extension for Spring 22/onwards, subject to funding
