Cultural Education Manager West Yorkshire, We are IVE

28 hours per week maternity cover until 31 July 2022

IVE are funded by the Arts Council to be the Bridge organisation for Yorkshire & the Humber. They work to build partnerships, connections and networks between arts and culture, education and community sectors to ensure all children and young people have opportunities to develop their creativity and access high quality arts and culture experiences.

They are looking for someone who can build strong strategic relationships between these sectors across West Yorkshire. You’ll work across sectors to encourage and support those that work with children and young people to devise and deliver innovative, sustainable approaches that encourage collaboration and increase the levels and quality of provision.

A key priority is supporting their Local Cultural Education Partnerships (LCEPs) in West Yorkshire to become self-sustaining cultural hubs for their local area. You’ll work with the LCEP’s strategic leads and wider membership to drive a joined-up arts and cultural offer locally that increase opportunities for children and young people both in and out of education.

You’ll be a natural networker with strong communication skills to persuade and influence key stakeholders in the development of strategic interventions across all sectors working with children and young people. You’ll have a good understanding of education, and the role arts, culture and creativity can play in young peoples’ learning and personal development. Experience and knowledge of West Yorkshire and working in rural communities is advantageous.
