Cultural Co-production & Engagement lead, YVAN

YVAN is looking to recruit a freelance post to continue to build and support artist networks across the region and co-produce projects to enable sector resilience and relevance.

The purpose of the Co-Producer role is to generate co-produced opportunities for live action research with artists, artist networks and the artist-led to amplify the voice of the artist, enrich practice, create a vibrant infrastructure for the artist and the arts in the Yorkshire and Humberside region, and feed into research and policy frameworks.

The Co-Producer will lead on a short programme of artist-led research commissions with publication in partnership with Sheffield Hallam University that reflect on the experience of artists and designers of colour. This is funded by Arts Council and Sheffield Hallam University.

TASKS

Set up YVAN programmes and ensure their successful delivery (see SnapshotTalent Pipeline for Artists of Colour (August-Dec 2021)
Complete Nourish commissions with five artist networks (August-Oct 2021)
Co-produce projects with artists and artist-led regional networks
Act on recommendations in audience development plan
Supply content in collaboration with YVAN’s Comms/Marketing Lead
To input into funding bids as appropriate
Seek other relevant income generating potential
Act as co-ordinating liaison for YVAN within the wider CVAN region
Produce short summary quarterly reports for YVAN Board of Directors.
Attend fortnightly project team meetings.
