Creative Sector Engagement Officer, Wakefield

Wakefield Council was successful in securing a grant from the government’s Cultural Development Fund (CDF), to deliver an exciting creative sector growth programme. The CDF programme supports local creative and digital sector through a wide-reaching programme comprising of Business Support, Skills Development and Creative Showcase.

Working with the CDF Programme Manager and Creative Wakefield Network Manager, the Creative Sector Engagement Officer will support the programme delivery through co-ordination of Creative Wakefield activities, co-ordination of business support and skills development offer as well as development of creative sector engagement content and its delivery via social media and digital channels.

The post-holder will provide administrative support for the wider CDF programme, ongoing support for Creative Wakefield Board and support for the development of multifaceted WX events programme. They will lead on the delivery of the Creative Bitesize Events Programme, engage with current and potential Creative Wakefield Network Members and Stakeholders and ensure effective day-to-day management of the programme’s digital platforms.

The post holder needs to have the skills, experience, energy and creativity to deliver the highest level of service to the creative and cultural businesses and residents of Wakefield district.
