Creative Communities Officer - Kirklees Creative Economy Team
An opportunity has arisen in the Kirklees Creative Economy Team to cover the post of the Creative Communities Officer on a Fixed Term/Secondment basis until 31 March 2016. This opportunity has arisen due to the current postholder taking extended leave.
The purpose of the Creative Economy Team is to ensure that there is a thriving and resilient Creative Sector and opportunities for Kirklees’ residents to be creative, engage with the arts and deliver services and activities within their communities.
You will work as part of a team responsible for developing arts participation and audiences and the use of creativity to achieve Council priority outcomes such as community engagement, cohesion, community capacity building, attainment and well-being. You will provide specialist advice about the arts to other services, partners and community organisations. You will organise and deliver appropriate training programmes, advice and information services and networking opportunities so that there is an increase in community capacity to plan, organise, market and deliver arts and creative activities especially in areas of low provision.
