Call for Artists, SLAPover at York Mediale

SLAPover at York Mediale is a week long creative slumber party, for artists to live, work and eat together.

SLAPover is a 1-week creative residency for 4 artists to collaborate and create new live performances. Finished works will then be presented at York Medical Society on Stonegate, as part of York Mediale, a brand new media arts festival for the city.

The SLAPover residency will run from the 13th to the 17th of August 2018 and the public sharing of work created will be on the 5th October 2018, forming part of York Mediale’s programme.

SLAP are looking for 4 artists whose creative disciplines are in dance, performance, live art and/or media. SLAP are especially interested in artists who have experience in/or curiosity about the combined practices of media and performance. Artists will be working on campus at York St John University with access to the facilitates and equipment.

DATES, FEES AND EXPENSES
- Artists must be available from the 13th to the 17th of August 2018
- Artists must be available for the 4th and 5th October 2018
- All selected artists will be given a £500 bursary for their time during SLAPover
- Up to £50 contribution towards travel

Accommodation during your time with SLAP will be provided

A performance fee of £200 for the 5th of October
