Brexit, creative industries, tourism & the digital single market
Tourism and the creative and digital sectors are a sizeable portion of the UK economy and they employ millions of people. In January the Digital, Culture, Media and Sports Committee published a report on the potential impact of Brexit on the creative industries, tourism and the digital single market, following an inquiry by its predecessor committee which was dissolved due to the general election in 2017.
The main areas of focus for the committee were:
•Labour market issues in the creative and tourism industries
•The potential impact of Brexit on tourism
•The UK’s role in the digital single market and future risks and opportunities
