Huddersfield Christmas Lights SwitchOn & Musical Afternoon

St George’s Square will become a hive of musical activities on Saturday 20 November from 1pm ahead of the Huddersfield Christmas Lights Switch on.

The family friendly day will showcase a range of community music groups performing throughout the day from up until the Christmas lights switch on at 6pm and after until 6.30pm.

There will be children’s activities including a live ice carving to create an ice ‘post box’ as well as a free workshop where children can write a letter to Santa then post their letters in the magical ice post box.

There will also be a huge inflatable Christmas Pudding in the square for you to take fun selfies!

The live ice carve will take place between 11am and 1pm and the Letter to Santa workshop will take place between 1pm and 5pm.

The lights will be being switched on at 6pm by the Panto Dames!

Flat Cap Brass will also be doing some mini performances

The Winter Festival by Huddersfield Live will also be taking place in their tipi In St George’s Square – so it’s sure to be a fun filled day of music and festivities.
