XP School
We are a deliberately sized and personalised school of 350 students in total from ages 11-19, with 25 students in each class and two classes per year group. Our school will roll out over seven years, which started with Year 7 in 2014, achieving full capacity in 2020.

Our curriculum is academically rigorous, standards-based and university-bound. It is delivered through cross-subject learning expeditions. Our academic aim is that all our students are able to go to university after experiencing seven years of working hard, getting smart and being kind. We focus relentlessly on character growth and beautiful work. As a consequence, our students make outstanding academic progress.

Our school has two main sites, XP and XP East. XP East Multi-Academy Trust opened in August 2018 and is located alongside XP. The new state of the art school is the first to be build with a purpose build creative in residence suite.

XP Hothouse
XP School is offering launchpad residency suite to an artist/s & or creative business looking to establish themselves in the Doncaster area. This can be any creative practice including, but not limited to: Theatre, Design, Dance, Architecture, Visual Arts, Craft.

The Hothouse residency is designed to acted as a launchpad for a creative business, to offer a purpose build residency suite (office/studio), rent and rates free for a period of 8 months. Enabling a start-up business or emerging artists to test, launch and grow their brand in order to become sustainable.

During this time the creative practitioners will be embedded in the schools’ day to day processes, having access to resources and in exchange feeding into pupil learning and understanding of the creative industries via a carefully mapped out period of tutorials, workshops and talks.

They will work closely with the learn team and have the opportunity to utilise school facilities and showcase creative outputs within the school, on the intranet, website and team brief.

Aims and objectives of the residency
• To act as a supportive environment to grow an emerging Doncaster based Creative business from.
• To evidence the importance and diversity of the creative industries to our pupils.
• To enhance and support XP & XP East expeditions
