Courtyard Quartet at The Courtyard

The Courtyard Quartet returns to The Courtyard to entertain us on a summer’s evening with a feast of music from throughout the ages and in a wide variety of styles, including early to contemporary classical music; popular music from the 50’s to the present day; close harmony standards and jazz; and everywhere in between, including several of the quartet’s own a cappella original arrangements.

The programme will include songs from the quartet’s brand new CD, hot off the press and to be launched at the concert. Also at the concert, the winner of the competition to design the artwork for the CD cover will be announced and presented with a copy of the CD, in the sleeve ready printed with their winning design!

The first half of the concert will include pieces by composers such as: John Dowland, Thomas Tomkins, J S Bach, Tchaikovsky, Vaughan Williams, Britten and Bob Chilcott while the second half will continue the relaxed mood of the interval with arrangements of pop songs, jazz and close harmony numbers, including A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square, Just Walk Away Renee, and more.
