Oil painting course with Paul Riley 30 March-1 April 2012

A 3 day course at beautiful Coombe Farm studios taught by renowned artist Paul Riley. This course is a great opportunity to try a new medium and is well suited to both beginners and advanced students. It will include instruction on the preparation of the canvas or board including the type of grounds required for different subject matter. The layout and maintenance of the palette will be explained together with demonstrations of brushes and their handling. During the course we will take the opportunity to study still life and landscape subject matter with emphasis on composition and colour mixing.There will be detailed explanation and demonstration throughout the course.
