CDTA 1st Cross-Phase Dance Conference
In response to consultation with its members at the AGM, the CDTA is delighted to announce its first biennial dance conference, offering members a chance to be inspired, refresh their dance skills and network with other Hertfordshire school teachers with a responsibility for dance. Together we can ensure the resources and teaching expertise in the county creates the conditions for high quality dance experience for all our pupils, that is stimulating and promotes long-term involvement in dance.

Date: Thursday 3 March 2016
Time: 10:00am - 4:30pm plus 5:30 - 7:30pm if attending a dance performance by Protein
Venue: University of Hertfordshire, College Lane Campus, Hatfield, AL10 9AB
Suitable for: Primary, Secondary and SEN Teachers with a responsibility for dance in their school
Conference content: Choose from a selection of workshops including dance and technology (Primary focus), dance for 'Gifted and Talented' led by The Place (Secondary focus), music editing for dance, creating cross-curricular schemes of work for dance, Lindy Hop / Swing and African Dance (Cross phase KS2 / 3), plus the opportunity to network with other teachers with a responsibility for dance in school.
Additional opportunity: Following the conference day there is the chance to see some professional dance. Firstly, the screening of 'Dance Springs Films' and secondly to watch the live performance of May Contain Food by Protein. Further information about the performances available at:

Cost:
CDTA current members – conference only FREE (max. 2 teachers per school)
CDTA members - conference plus Protein performance - £15 per teacher
Non-CDTA members – conference only £20 (includes one year membership to CDTA)
Non-CDTA members – conference plus Protein performance - £35
Trainee rate - conference only £15
Trainee rate – conference plus Protein performance £25
