Bushey Museum's 'Artist of the Month' - Myrtle Broome

Myrtle Broome studied art in Bushey with Hubert von Herkomer’s cousin, Bertha Herkomer in the early 1900's. She studied Egyptology in London and then had a fascinating career in Egypt as an artist and epigrapher. She also used her artistic talents painting scenes in local Egyptian villages. She then came back to Bushey and lived at the family home ‘Avalon’ in Grange Road.
