Maritime Proms

This is a joining of three Choirs, South Devon
Choir, Stanborough Chorus and North Devon Choral Society. This happens every three years. this time round the Stanborough Chorus has dropped out because of prior committments.

The programme this year is Vaughan Williams "A Sea Symphony" for the first half and George Dyson "4 songs for Sailors" Henry ~Wood "Fantasia" G&S items and some traditional last night of the proms items ie. Land of Hope and Glory, Jerusalem and Rule Brittania, for the second half.

The concert is at Torquay town hall and starts at 7pm - the combined choirs will number 170+ singers with the Festival Orchestra and professional soloists.

A once every three years event!
