Exchange No.2: Websites & Blogs

Continuing our EXCHANGE series in which we create an opportunity for artists to get together and exchange ideas, knowledge and information based on the wide experience that exists within our arts community, our January event focuses once again on artists’ websites.

Following on from our event last September in which experts from Axisweb ran two workshops for us, including questions, discussion, advice and information aimed at helping clarify what we want from our online presence, we thought it would be great to do a follow-up which focused much more closely on how our own members already represent themselves online.

In November, we asked members to send us the URLs of their websites and blogs, so during our Exchange event we’ll be selecting from the links they gave us and taking the opportunity to look at and discuss some of the ways our artists use the internet to represent their practices, promote their work and sell their wares.
