Toads Theatre present 'The Haunting of Hill House'

Cut off from the outside world by its remote location and shunned by all who know its forbidding and sinister reputation, Hill House harbours dark and deathly secrets within its ancient walls. Empty and forbidding it has stood for years unloved and neglected, plagued with tales of supernatural phenomena and woe until the arrival of Dr Montague, a paranormal investigator whose mission is to uncover the mystery surrounding Hill House and seek out the occult forces that have proved it uninhabitable for many years. He is not alone. Three people join him, each having their own reasons for accepting Dr Montague’s invitation to join him for the summer in the House that never sleeps, in a house that will haunt you... whatever walks there walks alone...
The play is adapted by F. Andrew Leslie from the book of the same title written in 1959 by author Shirley Jackson and directed for Toads by Nigel Howells who has taken a cast of unfazed actors and created the mysterious and haunting tale of ‘Hill House’.
