Saturday Art Club @ Batley Art Gallery

Exciting arts activities for kids aged 5 and upwards!

- Learn new art skills
- Work with professional artists
- Take home your own masterpiece

Saturday afternoons, 1pm to 3pm at Batley Art Gallery, Market Place, Batley, WF17 5DA

Sessions are managed by Creative Arts Hub, and are supported by the Kirklees Arts in the Neighbourhood scheme

Initial dates for the art club:
31st January / 21st February / 7th & 21st March 4th & 18th April / 2nd May / £5.50 per session

Planned activities:
31st January: Recycled Robots – create a robotic pal using junk materials
21st February: Drawing animals with graphite and coloured pencils
7th March: Abstract printmaking – make pictures from patterns created with relief and mono printing techniques
21st March: Still life – pencils, paints and pastels
4th April: Space, the final frontier - printing and collage with an out-of-this-world theme
18th April: Portraits with graphite and coloured chalk pastels
2nd May: Bookmaking – bind your own book using tissue paper, card & paper
