There is another chance to enjoy a fascinating peep at Bagshaw Museum in Batley on Sunday, 7 October.
Free tours at 1pm and 2.30pm will give an insight into the history of the stunning Victorian Gothic mansion that stands majestic at the top of Batley’s Wilton Park. It will be an opportunity to learn more about the history of the Sheard family who built and lived in the house and also about Walter Bagshaw, the first curator of the museum, and Wilton Park.
The 45minute tours are extremely popular and, with numbers limited, places should be booked on the day at the reception desk.
Further monthly tours are scheduled for Sundays 4 November and 2 December with a new series starting in February next year.
