Aspire 2nd Birthday Party!

Aspire was founded by St John's Church Birkby on the 1st of October 2015, as experienced Occupational Therapist and community worker Susanna Shotter took the reins to form and grow a community group for local older people that provided a fun, friendly and stimulating atmosphere to gather together and do stuff with other people.

Over two years lasting friendships have formed through writing poetry, storytelling, wet felting, making pottery, gentle exercise, paper making, learning about the textile industry, playing board games, connecting with local school, and of course consuming chocolate biscuits and gallons of tea and coffee!
