Acoustic Nights at Artizan

Artizan gallery brings a new format to our acoustic nights for our last event of the year. All the way from the Isle of Lewis we shall be welcoming singer/songwriter, Miss Irenie Rose as our main act who will be performing a set in the second half of the evening.
Irenie started playing in public in 2010 and since then, has supported both local and touring artists, played festivals across the country, and made multiple radio and television appearances.
Some of the artists she has supported include Nathaniel Rateliff, Pete Roe, Ben Howard, Rachel Sermanni, Rae Morris, Manran, Larkin Poe, John Smith and KAN.

In early 2013 she took part in a documentary about Celtic Connections presented by Julie Fowlis and was nominated for best newcomer in the Scottish Alternative Music Awards. Irenie also reached the semi-finals of the Radio 2 Young Folk Musician of the Year Awards 2014.
She has a fourtrack demo out which can be found through bandcamp and facebook.

Come and enjoy the laidback vibes of the gallery and Secret Garden Café by joining us for an eclectic mix of original songs and covers by talented local musicians, all overseen by our regular performer and compere Robert Spence. Musicians can come and enjoy an evening of entertainment from their peers and colleagues as well as the chance to perform in front of a relaxed audience in this intimate space.

Book in advance for a discount, but there’s always room to squeeze in another pair of ears, so rock up, grab a beer from the bar and take a seat for Torbay’s newest acoustic night.
