Foraging for funding: hamster, pig or hound?

Almost a year after Geopark Artist Anna Keleher visited " La Trufa" ( The Truffle) visitor centre near Cordoba, Spain she has enlisted the help of an expert to train her own pet dog as a Truflle hound.

Melissa and her yellow lab Zeb forage the chalk downlands of West Sussex for Truffles and are willing to train others to find "black diamonds". Unlike many truffle hunters who keep their knowledge top secret this engaging pair aim to spread awareness of the vital role played by fungi and truffles to the health of our ecosystems.
