GIVING VOICE TO THE SILENT

A writing workshop led by local poet Adam Strickson, Teaching Fellow in Writing at the University of Leeds. Participants will have a private viewing of David Black’s exhibition of paintings "Lost Faces", followed by an opportunity to write poems and prose in response to the paintings. David's paintings are an exploration of his connection with the Holocaust. He is the son of Auschwitz survivor Eugene Black.

Work produced will be exhibited alongside the paintings on 27th and 28th January as part of the Holocaust Memorial Day programme for Kirklees
